A project roadmap is more likely to be successful when your entire team and stakeholders agree with it.Teams often focus heavily on the research and execution of the project in the roadmap and neglect testing and feedback.Your roadmap should only provide an overview of the project and avoid details that can be difficult to understand at a glance. It can also clarify to stakeholders the steps that were taken during the execution of the project.ĭespite its benefits, a project roadmap comes with its own set of challenges. Consequently, this causes projects to deviate from their original goals, which leads to productivity loss.Ī project management roadmap helps avoid miscommunication between stakeholders and your team by ensuring everyone stays on the same track. This dissatisfaction is due to stakeholders’ expectations for teams to accommodate minor changes during the execution process. Communication with stakeholdersĪ project management survey conducted by KPMG stated that only one in three organizations develop projects that are likely to satisfy their stakeholders. Product roadmaps are similar to project roadmaps, except that they provide an overview of a particular product’s vision and life cycle. Usually, further development of these stages leads to product maps. It can also provide an estimated overview of the complexity and effort involved. Recognize priority tasksĪ project management roadmap can help you identify the stages of your project that demand the most attention. Additionally, it reminds your staff of the project’s baseline so they do not get side-tracked during the execution stage. It also gives an overview of the project, which can help you and your team estimate the time required to complete each stage of the project. Once your team understands its objectives, it makes it easier for them to focus on specific tasks. Here are some of the ways a project roadmap can help your project management: Communicate goals to your teamĪ project roadmap is a highly visual document that clearly outlines the goals and objectives of your project.

Here it’s just like, “yeah, butts butts, whatever, wheee”. At least on her other songs it was aggressively annoying, so you could at least appreciate that she was trying to rub you the wrong way. Now, I’m not a rap expert by any means, but her flow is horrendous on this track. Only sarcasm is lazier, I think, but at least sarcasm has some bite to it every now and then.Īlso, because there’s no melody here to write about, I have to comment on Minaj’s flow instead. It’s akin to reference humour, essentially – and reference humour is about as lazy as comedy gets these days. It’s just there to draw comparisons because hey, that song was about big butts, and so is this one. Minaj (or her songwriters, at least) rips the beat and does absolutely nothing new or interesting. But here’s the thing: if I wanted to listen to “Baby Got Back”, I’d just go listen to that song. Now, confession time here: I actually don’t mind “Baby Got Back.” It’s fun, in its own strange little way, and just dorky enough to bat off any serious accusations of sexism. Sure, there’s a few skips and jumps, but it’s essentially “Baby Got Back” with some different rapping, so now there’s no need for you to click that video up there and add to its view count that contributes to its chart placing thereby making sure we don’t get any more of this d’yer understand okay bye bye. The music: The beat is taken directly from Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back”, and I feel confident in saying that if you’ve heard that song and any of Minaj’s other songs, then you know exactly what “Anaconda” sounds like. Instead, let’s just quietly discuss why it sucks and move on. So getting genuinely angry about this piece of nothing is probably not worth anybody’s time. Minaj’s career basically thrives on two things these days: shoving Beats products into her videos and attention-seeking. Don’t get me wrong, I still hated it, but in a passive, “this isn’t worth getting worked up about” sort of way that came as a pleasant-ish surprise. The easy, fast & fun way to learn how to sing: 30DaySinger.Here’s another pop song review, guys, and this week it’s Nicki Minaj’s latest, “Anaconda”.įirst impressions: You know, given this song’s press and Minaj’s history of making truly repugnant music, I thought I’d hate it more than I did. As of 27 November 2019, Anaconda surpassed 900 million views on YouTube, making it the first solo female rap song to do so. The song was also nominated for two categories at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Best Female Video and Best Hip-Hop Video, winning the latter. "Anaconda" was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2015 Grammy Awards. To further promote the song, Minaj performed it live at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards and also performed it at Fashion Rocks and the iHeartRadio Music Festival. She broke it previously “Stupid Hoe” and “Beauty and a Beat”. This also made Nicki Minaj the first and only female artist, to break the VEVO 24 Hour record three times. Following the video's release, it broke the 24-hour streaming record on Vevo by accumulating 19.6 million views in its first day of release, being surpassed by Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" in 2015. An accompanying video for the song was directed by Colin Tilley and released on August 19, 2014. The song also peaked within the top ten in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. It went on to spend eight weeks in the top ten of the Hot 100 chart. The song peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, consequently becoming Minaj's highest charting single in the United States to date but remaining in the number two spot due to the popularity of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off". The song prominently samples "Baby Got Back" (1992) by Sir Mix-a-Lot. The song was produced by Polow da Don, DJ Spydr, and Da Internz. It was released on Augby Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records as the second single from the album. "Anaconda" is a song by Trinidadian-American rapper and singer Nicki Minaj, from her third studio album, The Pinkprint (2014). With the release of the eleventh season in 2019, the show dropped the "Masters of Spinjitzu" subtitle and switched from a 22-minute format to an 11-minute running time. Despite these aesthetic changes, the eighth season continued the story of the previous seasons instead of the film's rebooted storyline. In the eighth season of the show in 2018, the animation software of the show was updated and new character designs and aesthetics were adopted from the film. In 2017, a film adaptation of the series, The Lego Ninjago Movie, was released. However, after feedback from fans, it was soon revived and it continued for ten more years. Both the Lego theme and the TV series had an intended shelf life of three years, so it was expected that the second season would be the last. The first season aired on 2 December 2011. Their popularity led to the commissioning of the first two full seasons ( Rise of the Snakes and Legacy of the Green Ninja), which each consisted of 13 episodes. The pilot episodes were aired in January 2011, coinciding with the launch of the Lego Ninjago toy line. It was created to coincide with the Lego Ninjago construction toys, and centres on the fictional world of Ninjago, telling the story of a group of teenage ninja and their battles against the forces of evil. The show was produced by Wil Film ApS from the pilot episodes until the tenth season and by WildBrain Studios for the last five seasons. In 2019, a workshop hosted by the IUCN/SSC Canid Specialist Group considered the New Guinea singing dog and the dingo to be feral dogs ( Canis familiaris), which therefore should not be assessed for the IUCN Red List. The inclusion of familiaris and dingo under a "domestic dog" clade has been noted by other mammalogists, and their classification under the wolf debated. He referred to the mDNA study as one of the guides in forming his decision. Wozencraft included hallstromi-the New Guinea singing dog-as a taxonomic synonym for the dingo. Christopher Wozencraft listed under the wolf Canis lupus its wild subspecies, and proposed two additional subspecies: " familiaris Linnaeus, 1758 " and " dingo Meyer, 1793 ". In the third edition of Mammal Species of the World published in 2005, the mammalogist W. In 1999, a study of the maternal lineage through the use of mitochondrial DNA (mDNA) as a genetic marker indicates that the dingo and New Guinea singing dog developed at a time when human populations were more isolated from each other. In 1793, based on Phillip's brief description and illustration, the "Dog of New South Wales" was classified by Friedrich Meyer as Canis dingo. In 1788, the First Fleet arrived in Botany Bay under the command of Australia's first colonial governor, Arthur Phillip, who took ownership of a dingo and in his journal made a brief description with an illustration of the "Dog of New South Wales". In 1699, Captain William Dampier visited the coast of what is now Western Australia and recorded that "my men saw two or three beasts like hungry wolves, lean like so many skeletons, being nothing but skin and bones". Taxonomy "Dog of New South Wales" illustrated in The Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay in 1788 įurther information: Canis lupus dingo § Taxonomic debate – the domestic dog, the dingo, and New Guinea Singing Dogĭogs associated with indigenous people were first recorded by Jan Carstenszoon in the Cape York Peninsula area in 1623. It is proposed that in New South Wales the camp dingoes only became wild after the collapse of Aboriginal society. The colonial settlers of New South Wales wrote using the name dingo only for camp dogs. They also use the name walaku to refer to both dingoes and dogs. The people of the Yarralin, Northern Territory, region frequently call those dingoes that live with them walaku, and those that live in the wilderness ngurakin. Some authors propose that a difference existed between camp dingoes and wild dingoes as they had different names among indigenous tribes. The dingo has different names in different indigenous Australian languages, such as boolomo, dwer-da, joogoong, kal, kurpany, maliki, mirigung, noggum, papa-inura, and wantibirri. Related Dharug words include "ting-ko" meaning "bitch", and "tun-go-wo-re-gal" meaning "large dog". One of them is now in the possession of the Governor, and tolerably well reconciled to his new master. These animals are equally shy of us, and attached to the natives. The only domestic animal they have is the dog, which in their language is called Dingo, and a good deal resembles the fox dog of England. The name was first recorded in 1789 by Watkin Tench in his Narrative of the Expedition to Botany Bay: The first British colonists to arrive in Australia in 1788 established a settlement at Port Jackson and noted "dingoes" living with indigenous Australians. The name "dingo" comes from the Dharug language used by the Indigenous Australians of the Sydney area. Etymology, synonyms, and usage Portrait of a Large Dog from New Holland by George Stubbs, 1772. The oldest remains of dingoes in Australia are around 3,500 years old.Ī dingo pack usually consists of a mated pair, their offspring from the current year, and sometimes offspring from the previous year. The dingo is closely related to the New Guinea singing dog: their lineage split early from the lineage that led to today's domestic dogs, and can be traced back through the Maritime Southeast Asia to Asia. The skull is wedge-shaped and appears large in proportion to the body. The dingo's three main coat colourations are light ginger or tan, black and tan, or creamy white. The dingo is a medium-sized canine that possesses a lean, hardy body adapted for speed, agility, and stamina. It is variously considered a form of domestic dog not warranting recognition as a subspecies, a subspecies of dog or wolf, or a full species in its own right. Its taxonomic classification is debated as indicated by the variety of scientific names presently applied in different publications. The dingo ( Canis familiaris, Canis familiaris dingo, Canis dingo, or Canis lupus dingo ) is an ancient ( basal) lineage of dog found in Australia.
